A pad is a basic solid which is extruded from a 2D Profile.It is one of the first features that can be created when starting a new part.

The tools in the Constraint Toolbar are used to apply constraints to the geometric entities and assign dimensions to the drawn sketch.

The command in View Tool are used for manipulation the views of the toolbars using the tools such as pan ,zoom,normal viewing....

The Pan tool is used to drag the current view in the geometry area.this option is generally used to display elements or part of the elements that are outside the current geometry area.

The fit all in tool is used to increase the geometry area so thata all the sketched geometrics are included in the visible space.

The zoom in tool is used to zoom into the skectches in increaments.

The zoom tool is used to define an area,which is to be magnified and viewed in the available geometry area.

The normal view tool is used to orient the view normal to the sketch plane in the current sketcher workbench if its orientation is changed.

Use Hide/Show toolbar to hide sketcher elements or geometric elements.

Use swap visible space to view the space where hidden element are stored.

The status Toolbar,which appears at the bottom of the CATIA V5 window,comprises of three areas:

Current information area displays the current information about the selected feature or currenr tool.

Power input field bar lets you invoke the commands and enter the data or value that can be directly associated with the feature.

Dialouge box display buttom will turn on or off display of current dialogue box.
